On February 27, 2023, in Astana, a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Central Asia and the USA in the C5+1 format was held.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the topical issues of international and regional agenda, including the situation in Afghanistan, fight against terrorism and extremism, as well as other security threats and challenges, and emphasized the need for strengthening cooperation between the countries of the region.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin took part in this meeting and delivered a speech.
